Todays Funky Favorite Art: Lollipop Garden

Today’s favorite BeerColors™ funky art is Lollipop Garden (shown at left). There were no lollipops harmed during the painting of this whimsical and funky WineDesigns™ print! The idea of Lollipop Garden arose from thinking of flowers with the same joy and anticipation as a child who covets candy. Hopefully, the same feeling of exhilaration is conveyed to you when you view this print!

The inspiration for this image came from forms common to Karel Appel’s work with a dash of Kandinsky and a sprinkle of Picasso while painting with a very tasty white wine, a local 2012 Pinot Grigio from Pheasant Run Winery in Canby, Oregon.

To buy Lollipop Garden, just go to our Shop Our Art section, click on the Modern and Abstract category then on the Lollipop Garden image and follow the prompts through checkout. Enjoy!

Todays Funky Favorite Art: Masked Lovebird

Today’s funky favorite BeerColors™ art is the Masked Lovebird (shown at left). Lovebirds are social, playful and affectionate parrots that spend much of their time sitting and conversing with their mates. They are among the smallest of all parrots and consist of nine species, eight of which-including this colorful Masked Lovebird, are native to mainland Africa.

Masked Lovebird was painted with a Black Butte Porter from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon; an Old Chubb Scotch Ale from Oskar Blues Brewery in Longmont, Colorado and a  Henry Weinhard’s Private Reserve from Blitz-Weinhard Brewery in Hood River, Oregon.

Masked Lovebird can be purchased by going to our Shop Our Art section, clicking on the Endangered Species category and on the Masked Lovebird image then proceeding to checkout.

Todays Funky Favorite Art: Summer Storm

Today’s funky favorite from BeerColors™ art is Summer Storm (shown at left). Summer Storm is meant to convey a sense of happiness. Viewed as shown, it may look to you like a field with clouds and bolts of lightening, hence the name: “Summer Storm”. Upside down, you may see bamboo and a jungle floor. There is a strong element of intrigue when viewed on either side. Whatever you see, art (like love) is always in the eye and heart of the beholder.

Summer Storm was painted with a Full Sail LTD limited edition lager from Full Sail Brewing Company in Hood River, Oregon. It is available in two sizes. Summer Storm may be purchased by going to our Shop Our Art section, clicking on the Summer Storm image then following the prompts through checkout.

Todays Featured Funky Art: Night School

Today’s featured piece is Night School (shown at left). This fanciful, funky school of fish was named Night School because all of the fish had white eyes and the background was dark. None of these funky fish are wearing lipstick (as some of my fish are prone to do) as during the school week they aren’t allowed to act out. Every fish must firmly obey the rules of the educational system in which they learn and swim. After all, one does not want to be regarded as being a fish out of water!

A 2010 Pascal Pibleau Gamay Touraine wine from Azay Le Rideaux, France was used in painting this work. To buy Night School, just go to our Shop Our Art section, click on the Modern and Abstract section then on the Night School image and follow the prompts. Enjoy!!

Todays Featured Funky Art: French Clown

French Clown (shown at left) was painted with a New Belgium Rolle Bolle beer from New Belgium Brewing Co. in Ft. Collins, Colorado. French Clown shows a stereotypical (so undoubtedly unfair) image of a mustachioed clown holding balloons, probably on a street corner at a fair or a festival. French Clown is intended to portray the cheerful  celebration of  life (“joie de vivre”)-which the French do quite well- through symbolic imagery of the party clown and use of vibrant, uplifting colors.

To buy French Clown, just go to our Shop Our Art section, click on the Modern and Abstract category then on the French Clown image and follow the prompts through checkout.

Todays Featured Art: White Flower Bouquet

Today’s featured art is White Flower Bouquet (shown at left), which is an upbeat, cheerful, lively depiction of a bouquet of flowers painted in a funky style meant to bring a smile to your face. White Flower Bouquet was painted with an Anchor Steam Beer from Anchor Brewing Company in San Francisco, California.

To buy White Flower Bouquet just go to our Shop Our Art section, click on the Modern and Abstract category then on the White Flower Bouquet image and follow the prompts through checkout.

Give yourself, friend or loved one a White Flower Bouquet treat that can be enjoyed for years!

Featured Art Today: Wistful

Today’s featured art is Wistful, so-named because of the pensive, wistful look of a woman in the midst of her reverie, wishfully thinking of some far away place or time. Wistful has a dreamy quality that, hopefully, catches your interest and that of your friends.

Wistful (shown at left) was painted using an Anchor Steam Beer from Anchor Brewing Company in San Francisco, California. Wistful can be purchased by going to our Shop Our Art section, clicking on the Modern and Abstract category then on the Wistful image and proceeding to checkout. We hope you enjoy owning this captivating limited edition print.

Today’s Featured Funky Art: Heat Wave

Heat Wave is a funky abstract depiction of high temperatures rolling across the land or can be interpreted as warm water, either in a tropical climate lake or ocean. In any event, Heat Wave is intended to inspire with its vivid colors and wave-like motion.

Heat Wave (shown at left) was painted with a Full Sail Limited Amber Ale from Full Sail Brewing Company in Hood River, Oregon. To purchase Heat Wave, just go to our Shop Our Art section and the Modern and Abstract category, click on the Heat Wave image and follow the prompts through checkout. Todays BeerColors™ Funky Art Favorite: Thundercloud

Today’s BeerColors™ funky art favorite is Thundercloud (shown at left), an award-winning painting, which was created using a Moosehead Lager from Moosehead Breweries Ltd. in Canada.

Thundercloud was chosen as the title for this vivid, lively painting since the vertical white streaks reminds one of lightening and/or rain. As an abstract, of course, Thundercloud can represent whatever the viewer perceives. Besides the striking colors, the rough texture and striking vitality of the piece have made it popular with art critics and curators alike.

Thundercloud has been featured in news articles, chosen for a prestigious biennial contemporary art show (Disjecta) and received the first place abstract art award in the 2015 Charbonneau Art Festival!

You can purchase Thundercloud by going to our Shop Our Art section and clicking on the Modern and Abstract category for a limited edition print or on the Art on Metal category for the same version on light weight aluminum. In either event, just click on the Thundercloud image and follow the prompts through checkout to enjoy owning your own Thundercloud!
