Todays Funky Art Favorite: Swells

Sometimes when painting modern or abstract art, I just play with color with no intention of painting any particular object. That was the case here. Swells can be hung and enjoyed from any angle. I decided to call it “Swells” because it reminds me of ocean waves yet it also reminds me of hills. Mainly, I love the colors in Swells.

Swells was painted with a Deschutes River Ale from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon.

I hope you enjoy Swells and the fun it represents. Order your limited edition print of Swells now by going to the Shop Our Art section and the Modern and Abstract drop down category then click on the Swells image and follow the prompts through checkout!

Today’s Featured Funky Art: Bird Playing Volleyball

Today’s Featured Funky Art is: Bird Playing Volleyball !

Many of our BeerColors™ paintings involve birds because they are intriguing and because they are a vital part of our environment and need protection. This colorful painting of Bird Playing Volleyball combined our enjoyment of birds, the influence of Karel Appel’s works and an innate sense of the ridiculous. Allowing imagination of what a playful bird would do for recreation given human choices resulted in this portrayal of an athletic bird enjoying a game of volleyball.

Bird Playing Volleyball (shown above) was painted with a great Deschutes River Ale from Deschutes Brewery in Bend, Oregon. and can be purchased by going to the Shop Our Art section of this website, clicking on the Modern and Abstract category then clicking on the Bird Playing Volleyball image and then following the prompts through checkout.
