Artist Osamu Kobayashi (1984- present)

Gold on Black j 9 22 15 (7)Osamu Kobayashi was born in Columbia, South Carolina. He is not only a contemporary color field artist, painting mostly with oils, but he engages in many other artistic endeavors. Mr. Kobayashi is an illustrator, mechanical designer and animation director in addition to his 2D art which is currently displayed on Artsy and at the Mindy Solomon Gallery.

Artist Yutaka Ohashi (1923-1989)

High Winds j 10 27 15 16X20Yutaka Ohashi was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1923. Mr. Ohashi debuted in Boston with his first solo exhibition in 1955. His show emphasized gold and collage elements. Mr. Ohashi then moved to Boston, Massachusetts in 1960.

Mr. Ohashi emphasized negative space in his art which used a great deal of texture and collage materials. He also added oil paint and rice paper in creating his works. A recipient of two Guggenheim fellowships, Mr. Ohashi held his last U.S. solo exhibit in the 1970’s before returning to Japan after the death of his wife.

Artist Eduardo Arroyo (1937- present)

Casting Shadows j 9 22 15 (8)Artist Eduardo Arroyo was born in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Arroyo became well known for his graphic art and Pop Art paintings and also as a set designer for stage productions. His first solo exhibition was held in Paris in 1964.

Mr. Arroyo created the stage play “Bantam” which premiered in Munich, Germany during 1986. Mr. Arroyo has many of his works of art displayed in Madrid at the Museo de Arte Contempor´aneo.
