Todays Funky Art Favorite: Modern Life

Modern Life is one of a series of paintings from our Funky Shapes Series- a group of paintings showing vivid, contrasting shapes and images of a highly abstract nature. Modern Life resulted from happy accidents that often occur when in the creative zone. There is a mystique about this painting that is captivating.

Modern Life was painted with a Widmer Brothers Hopside Down from Widmer Brothers Brewing Co. in Portland, Oregon.

Todays Funky Art Favorite: Koi in Lily Pad Heaven

Today’s BeerColors™ funky art favorite is Koi in Lily Pad Heaven. We suspect many species have aspirations beyond mere survival and procreation. Painting koi surrounded by lily pads seemed like a tranquil approach to communicating the desire for a peaceful spiritual existence beyond one’s physical life which may well be a desire shared beyond the human experience.

Koi in Lily Pad Heaven (shown above) was painted with Widmer Brothers Okto festival ale, from Widmer Brothers Brewing Co. in Portland, Oregon.

Todays Funky Art Favorite: Two Cats

Inspired by the woodcuts of Kiyoshi Saito, I tried to capture the playfulness and friendship of Two Cats by using white canvas as part of the features of these two feline friends. Hopefully, the joy of the close companionship of these Two Cats is evident. Two Cats is a reminder that friends (human and animal) are vital to enrich our individual lives.

Two Cats was painted with a Widmer Brothers Okto festival ale from Widmer Brothers Brewing Co. in Portland, Oregon.
